Field Trip to Olympieion and Kerameikos!

On Wednesday the 23rd we went to two historical sites in Athens. One called the Olympieion and the other called Kerameikos. Olympieion is old column ruins that were once a temple but have now been somewhat destroyed but still stand as a beautiful site to see. Below are some pictures.

Kerameikos is what used to be right before the entrance to Athens. Back then they would bury all the dead just outside of the city... in some sense a hall of fame to show off all of the great people who once lived within the city. We saw a lot of tombstones and sculptures. It was a beautiful day out and it was quite the scenery. We also went into the museum there and saw some great sculptures. Below are some of the things we saw!
